UNTITLED ARTISTS GROUP PRESENTS WINTER SHOW 2007: "CHILL"

Nashville's UNTITLED Artists' Group welcomes you to mellow out and relax with
the 'Live Art' inspiration of "Chill", Friday, December 14th from 6 to
10 pm. This free, one-night-only art event will be held at Layl'a Rul, 909
20th Ave S Nashville, TN 37212. Over 60 cool, innovative and upcoming
Nashville visual artists will make your eyes shiver with interactive 'Live Art',
dope paintings, rad photography, and frosty mixed-media. "Chill"
is the latest in a series of successful quarterly exhibitions that promise never
to leave you pale while supporting artistic innovation and alternative visual
arts in non-traditional spaces.
UNTITLED has introduced new artists to the community since 1991, is comprised of
several hundred artists, and has left an indelible stamp on the burgeoning
Nashville art scene. UNTITLED members include staff and exhibiting artists
from Zeitgeist, Dangenart, Plowhaus, Twist Gallery, and (fov) gallery.
UNTITLED members also include art faculty, students, and graduates from Watkins
College of Art and Design, Belmont University, Vanderbilt University, Savannah
College of Art and Design, Lipscomb University, TSU, Fisk University and MTSU.
"Chill" will take place Friday, December 14th from 6 to 10 p.m. at
Layl'a Rul, 909 20th Ave S Nashville, TN 37212. Moroccan delights abound
at this poshly styled restaurant and nightspot, where celebrity sightings are
often freeze framed in local and national media. Admission is free, and
the public is invited to hang out, meet and socialize with the artists, all
while viewing art and partaking in the creative energy dubbed as 'Live Art'.
'Live Art' will be a special feature of the "Chill" show, promoting
creative interactivity between artists and audience. All in attendance
will be welcomed to participate in this one of a kind engaging art experience!
Be a part of social engagement art, through a hands-on group activity. As
well, you may get a chance to be a part of filming for the upcoming Untitled
Documentary. Filming of the latest exciting Untitled project will feature
the upcoming Spring show in 2008, and Untitled members are actively recruiting,
discussing, and planning this project which will be submitted to local and
national public broadcasting stations.
Patrons may purchase artwork by cash, check or credit card and may take their
pieces home with them at 10pm that evening.
Untitled is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting artists, reaching
new art audiences, and offering alternative visual arts experiences in the
Nashville community. The group's meetings and shows provide opportunities
for artists to connect, collaborate and learn from each other. All artists at
all levels and in all media are invited to attend weekly meetings at Kazu in
Cummins Station, and to participate in quarterly exhibitions. The deadline
for artists to register for "Chill" is December 9th. New artists
